Les Cathédrales
L'aventure a commencé dans les ruines de l'Abbaye de Tintern au Pays de Galles et elle continue dans des Cathédrales à travers l'Angleterre (voir blog). J'aime ces lieux sacrés ... silence, histoire et tradition se mêlent. Je cherche, à travers mes dessins et tableaux, souvent sous forme de mosaïque, de ramener la violence du monde extérieur à l'intérieur, faire réfléchir sur nos propres rôles et comment nous pouvons aider, être plus charitables.
The adventure started with an exhibition at Tintern Abbey and has continued in Cathedrals ever since. (see blog). I love working with their history and tradition, the stain-glassed windows and the sculptures of the misericordes and bench endings. Through my drawings and paintings, often in the form of mosaics, I seek to bring the outside world into these sacred places, to question the true meaning of charity and mercy, and what role each of us may play.
